"description": "As a part of its continuing acquisition planning efforts, NASA has completed an assessment of the UNNO acquisition strategy and is updating the procurement approach to better align with the program's objectives for unified network operations, accountability, and long-term mission success. This assessment considered market research results, operational considerations, risk allocation, acquisition objectives, and lessons learned from existing network operations. Based on this review, NASA determined that a more integrated approach better supports clear accountability for network performance, reduces coordination and transition risks, and provides a stronger framework for the modernization and sustainment of mission-critical capabilities. Additional details regarding the rationale, supporting analysis, and acquisition strategy changes are provided in the accompanying documents. The information provided in this form is supplemented by a Revised Industry Update Document (Attachment 4), Draft Statement of Objectives (Attachment 5), Notional UNNO Facility List (Attachment 6) and a Draft Functional Construct Set (FCS) (available upon request). Request for FCS to be submitted to the UNNO Procurement points of contact identified on SAM.gov via email links provided. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The purpose of this notice is to alert interested parties to the following Space Communications and Navigation (SCaN) program Unified Network and Navigation Operations (UNNO) market research events: UNNO Industry Day - Huntsville NASA extends its gratitude to our industry partners for the substantial participation in the previous UNNO Request for Information (RFI) and appreciates the capability statements and feedback submitted in response.
