THE UNITED REPUBLIC OF TANZANIA MINISTRY OF WORKS TANZANIA NATIONAL ROADS AGENCY (TANROADS) TANZANIA ROADS TO INCLUSION AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES (RISE) PROJECT CREDIT NO.: 6867-TZ REQUEST FOR BIDS (Without Prequalification) FOR CONSTRUCTION OF LWANJI I BRIDGE (200M) SPAN ALONG MTOWISA – ILEMBA ROAD SECTION TENDER NO.: AE/001/2026/27/HQ/W/18 (TZ-TANROADS-564086-CW-RFB) This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in the United Nations Development Business (UNDB) No. WB-P890351-12/21 of 14th December, 2021. The Government of Tanzania has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Roads to Inclusion and Socio-Economic Opportunities Project (RISE) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Construction of Lwanji I Bridge (200m) span along Mtowisa – Ilemba Road Section , Tender No.: AE/001/2026/27/HQ/W/18 (TZ-TANROADS-564086-CW-RFB) . The Tanzania National Roads Agency the Implementing Agency now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Construction of Lwanji I Bridge (200m) span along Mtowisa – Ilemba Road Section for the construction period of 15 months inclusive of three (3) months mobilization from the commencement date and 36 months Defects Notification Period. Margin of preference is not applicable. The Works consist of construction of 200m new and piled bridge and its gravel standard approach road. Bidders should note that to qualify for award of the contract they are required to meet certain minimum qualifying criteria as provided in Section III: Evaluation and Qualification Criteria (without Prequalification Criteria) of the Bidding Document which includes; Experience as prime contractor they should have successfully completed at least two (2) contracts of similar nature and complexity within the last ten (10) years, each of minimum value TZS 10 billion or one contract with minimum value of TZS 20 billion; Average Annual Turnover of TZS 25 billion calculated as total certified payments received for contracts in progress or completed, within the last five (5) years, divided by 5 years; Minimum amount of liquid assets and/or credit facilities net of other contractual commitments of TZS 8 .0 billion ; and Further details and complete qualification requirements are provided in the Bidding Documents.
