Internal Control over Financial Management assessment of Information Technology General Controls (ITGC)

What the buyer is asking for

Transport Canada (TC) requires the services of a supplier to complete its 2026-27 Internal Control over Financial Management (ICFM) Ongoing Monitoring Assessment of Information Technology General Controls (ITGC) due to the complexity and specialized expertise required to examine the departmental financial management system and supporting extended Information Technology (IT) systems, including consideration of best practices. The objective of the ICFM assessment of ITGC will be to evaluate the adequacy of IT general and application controls to ensure that they are operating as intended on an ongoing basis to safeguard the security of data (confidentiality, integrity and availability) to support the timely electronic transfers and processing of transactions for complete and reliable financial information for decision-making and corporate reporting.
