Notice of Intent to Sole Source for LP33333 Batteries

What the buyer is asking for

NASA/AFRC has a requirement for Global Hawk six (6) LP3333 Batteries with the proprietary technologies of Eagle Picher, the sole producer of Global Hawk batteries. NASA/AFRC intends to issue a sole source contract to acquire the LP3333 Batteries from Eagle Picher, the sole manufacture of the Global Hawk batteries, containing proprietary technologies. The Government intends to acquire a commercial product or service using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to Charles Little, charles.d.little@nasa.gov and Jamill Richter, jamill.m.richter@nasa.gov not later than 12:00pm PT November 21, 2026. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis. A decision by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
