What the buyer is asking for

Background Karmsund Sixth Form College shall use a new workshop building and establish new classes in technology and industrial sciences (TIF) at VG1 and VG2. The school therefore needs new workshop equipment adapted to teaching pupils of different skills levels. The procurement shall ensure educational suitable, secure and robust equipment that supports learning objectives. The equipment shall be simple and safe to use, have good ergonomics and tolerate daily use in teaching environments. The contracting authority also needs systems with a long lifetime, good repairability and access to service and spare parts in order to reduce interruptions in operations. Description of the assignment The procurement is for the delivery of manual workshop machines to Karmsund sixth form college for practical education within TIF in the school ́s new workshop building. The procurement will be carried out as one contract and comprises the following machines: manual lathe, manual milling machine, drill drill column and band saw. The delivery shall also include assembly, commissioning, necessary documentation and training of teaching personnel. The equipment shall be suitable for use in teaching, have good security functions and it shall be suitable for pupils and teachers. The systems shall be reliable and maintenance friendly and the tenderer shall be able to offer service and spare parts during the equipment ́s lifetime. Delivery ought to be made in week 11 in 2027, or at another point in time as agreed with the contracting authority. If the delivery cannot be delivered directly to the school at the agreed time, the tenderer shall ensure any temporary storage at their own expense and risk up until delivery. The contracting authority has an absolute upper budget limit of NOK 3,000,000 excluding VAT. Tenders exceeding this frame will be rejected. The contracting authority reserves the right to cancel the competition if an acceptable tender is not received.
